Sentinel Guide

Core Concepts

Documents

Your bot can create, read, and work with documents. Files are stored securely within your bot's isolated environment and can be accessed through the chat or via your connected cloud storage.

How Documents Work

Your bot maintains its own private file system. When you upload a file through the chat or ask your bot to generate a report, the file is stored within your bot's secure environment. You can view and manage your documents from the Documents panel in the room header.

Upload via chat

Attach files directly in the chat using the paperclip icon or drag and drop. Your bot can read and process the contents immediately.

Bot-generated files

When your bot creates reports, summaries, or other documents, they are saved automatically and visible in the Documents panel.

Ask your bot

You can ask your bot to find, summarise, or work with any document it has access to. For example: “What documents do I have?” or “Summarise the report you created yesterday.”

Accessing Your Files

For security, files cannot be downloaded directly through the Sentinel interface. Instead, we recommend connecting your bot to your cloud storage for seamless file access.

Google Drive

Connect your Google account and ask your bot to save files directly to your Drive. You can then access them from any device.

OneDrive / SharePoint

Connect your Microsoft account and your bot can save files to OneDrive or SharePoint for easy access and sharing with your team.

Example:

“Save the suburb report to my Google Drive.”

“Upload the summary to my OneDrive.”

Supported File Types

Your bot can read and process a wide range of file formats:

PDFWord (.docx)Excel (.xlsx)CSVJPEG / PNGText (.txt)
Tip: For the best file management experience, connect your Google Drive or OneDrive through the Integrations page. This gives you a familiar file interface to browse, download, and share any documents your bot creates.
