Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about using Sentinel.
General
Q. What is Sentinel?
Sentinel is an AI-powered professional assistant by Intelliprop. You get a dedicated bot that understands your profession and helps with research, communication, reports, and day-to-day tasks.
Q. What is a bot?
A bot is your dedicated AI assistant. It lives in your room, is always online, and remembers your past conversations. Each bot is configured for a specific profession and comes with relevant skills.
Q. Can other users see my conversations?
No. Your room is private. Only authorised members of your room can see your conversations, documents, and bot responses. Other companies on the platform cannot access your data.
Memory & Learning
Q. Does my bot remember previous conversations?
Yes. Your bot has persistent memory powered by a DAG-based system with LCM (Large Context Model). It remembers clients, preferences, and past discussions, and builds up knowledge over time.
Q. How does my bot get better over time?
Your bot continuously learns from your interactions — your patterns, workflows, preferences, and corrections. The more you use it, the more it adapts to how you work.
Q. Can I correct my bot if it gets something wrong?
Yes. Just tell it what was wrong and it will remember the correction going forward. You can also add permanent rules via guardrails in the AGENTS.md file.
Skills & Capabilities
Q. What are skills?
Skills are specialised automations that extend what your bot can do. They handle specific workflows like generating reports, processing documents, or sending emails. Your bot activates them automatically based on what you ask.
Q. How do I use a skill?
You don't need to select skills from a menu. Just describe what you need in plain English and your bot identifies and uses the right skill automatically.
Q. Can I get new skills added?
Yes. Contact your Intelliprop administrator to request new skills. They can be built and deployed to your bot without any downtime.
Integrations
Q. What does connecting Google or Microsoft do?
It gives your bot access to your email, calendar, contacts, and cloud storage. You can then ask your bot to read emails, check your schedule, look up contacts, or manage files — all through the chat.
Q. Can my bot connect to other software?
Yes. Beyond Google and Microsoft, your bot can integrate with virtually any software. Just ask your bot to connect to a platform and it will guide you through the setup, storing credentials securely.
Q. Can I disconnect an integration?
Yes. Open the Integrations panel and click Disconnect at any time. Your bot will immediately lose access to that service.
Guardrails
Q. What are guardrails?
Guardrails are rules in your bot's AGENTS.md file that control its behaviour — like requiring approval before sending emails. They persist forever and are always enforced.
Q. How do I add a guardrail?
Just tell your bot. For example: "Add a rule to your AGENTS.md: always ask me for approval before sending any email." The bot will add it and the rule applies from that point on.
Q. Does my bot come with default rules?
Yes. Your bot comes pre-configured with sensible default rules for your profession. You can customise these to match your own risk tolerance and working style.
Troubleshooting
Q. My bot isn't responding.
Wait a moment — your bot may be working on a complex task. If it still doesn't respond after a minute, try sending another message. If the issue persists, contact your administrator.
Q. The bot gave an incorrect answer.
Your bot is an AI assistant and may occasionally make mistakes. Always verify critical information independently. You can correct the bot and it will learn from the feedback.
Q. I can't log in.
Make sure you're using the correct URL and password provided by your administrator. If you've forgotten your password, contact your admin for a reset.
Q. How do I get help?
Contact your Intelliprop administrator or email support@intelliprop.com.au.
